Chicago Bears hope to bounce back – NFL News
Chicago Bears are hoping to bounce back strongly after their recent loss against Seattle Seahawks.
According to Bears head coach Lovie Smith, last 24 hours were not good for the team but they will prepare for playing better in Week 14 game against Minnesota Vikings.
Talking about where they played bad in the last game, he said:
"I can't even point anybody out. Just about every good defensive game we've played around here we've all had something to do with that player-wise.”
He added:
“We all had something to do with that performance that we're not proud of. I still say we haven't had many of those, but it does happen. We've just got to make sure it doesn't happen again."
Bears quarterback Jay Cutler performed well in the game and completed 17 of 26 passes for 233 yards and scored two touchdowns. Wide receiver Brandon Marshall received 10 catches for 165 yards. Overall, the offence did a good job.
On the other hand, there were some problems with the defence, due to the amazing performance of Seahawks rookie quarterback Russell Wilson.
Wilson completed 17 of 26 passes for 293 yards and scored two touchdowns in the game.
Bears safety Chris Conte returned for the game after recovering from his sickness, but he could not play much and got replaced by Craig Steltz.
Linebacker Brian Urlacher, wide receiver Earl Bennett and cornerback Tim Jennings went out of the game due to different injuries.
Smith said:
"Sometimes guys don't feel well before the game, but you get out there and start feeling a lot better. But for him he tried to go and he just couldn't. It's as simple as that. We could have used him, but he couldn't go."
Bears have lost three out of last four games after staging consistent wins early in the season. Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks have outclassed them by winning with bigger margins.
Bears have won eight and lost four games, and they are leading National Football Conference (NFC) North. Bears have to work harder to win more games and secure the division title.
