Chicago Bears list CB Charles Tillman, LB Lance Briggs, RB Matt Forte probable for next game – NFL News
Chicago Bears have listed cornerback Charles Tillman, linebacker Lance Briggs and running back Matt Forte as probable for next game.
Tillman, Briggs and Forte injured their ankles in Week 12 game against Minnesota Vikings. All of them participated in practice session on Thursday for the next game against Seattle Seahawks.
According to Tillman, the team will not be able to win if he sits out. He said:
"I'm trying to win a championship here, so I know we can't get that with me being on the sidelines. I'm just trying to be out there and help out.”
He mentioned that it is Week 13, and injuries happen every time until the end of the season.
He added:
"What is it, Week 13? No one is healthy right now, and that goes across the league right now. No one is healthy."
Tillman has missed six games in his seven-year career. On the other hand, Briggs, in his 10th year with Bears, has missed four games.
Bears’ head coach Lovie Smith was sure that Tillman, Briggs and Forte will return for the next game. He said of them:
"It was never really a part of the mindset that he wouldn't be able to play this week. Just like the rest of our guys. A lot of them couldn't finish the game; guys like Lance Briggs, Forte, they got a lot of treatment. They know how important this football
game is."
Smith was satisfied with their presence in practice session. According to him, they are making progress on limited basis, which is really good.
Meanwhile, some other players have also been listed as probable. Tight end Kellen Davis injured his ankle in Week 10 game against Houston Texans, while defensive tackle Stephen Paea and guard Edwin Williams injured their respective shoulders in Week 12 game
against Vikings.
On the other hand, Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery did not practise on Friday due to his knee injury and he is listed as doubtful.
Wide receiver Devin Hester and offensive guard Chris Spencer are out due to concussion and knee injury respectively.
Bears are leading National Football Conference (NFC) North with eight wins and three defeats.
