Chicago Blackhawks avoid elimination with a 7-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks – NHL Update

The fourth game of the Western Conference quarter-final was played at the United Centre this Tuesday that saw the Blackhawks coming up with a brilliant 7-2 win in the end.
The Canucks were already leading the series 3-0 and needed just one more win to knock the Blackhawks out. However, the Blackhawks came up with a brilliant performance to trail 1-3 after the win.
Both teams were on the offence right from the start with the Blackhawks taking the early lead. The Canucks also scored a goal a few minutes later to level the score. The Blackhawks totally dominated the second period as they came up with shots every now
and then. The Canucks also came up with several shots, but it was the Blackhawks who scored four goals to establish a strong lead. The final period saw the Blackhawks using the early power-play to the maximum and scored twice to extend the lead even further.
The Canucks also scored a goal but it was the Blackhawks who won the game 7-2 in the end. Dave Bolland, centre of the Blackhawks was named the Star of the Game as he scored a goal and ended his night with three assists.
The Blackhawks were on the attack right from the start and scored in the second minute through Bryan Bickell from a flick-shot to get into the lead. The Canucks came across a power-play a few minutes later that resulted in them scoring in the fifth minute
to level the score. The goal was scored by Sami Salo from a powerful strike.
The period witnessed both teams making quite a few more shots on goal but the period ended with the score level on 1-1. During the period, the Blackhawks made 13 shots on goal while the Canucks managed seven attempts.
The Blackhawks began the second period high on confidence and scored twice in the sixth minute to get into the lead. The goals were scored by Brian Campbell from a quick fired shot and Duncan Keith from a powerful strike.
Both teams made several shots on goal, but it was the Blackhawks who scored once again in the 15th minute through Dave Bolland. The Blackhawks completed a dominating performance in the period with another goal in the 19th minute scored
by Michael Frolik.
The period came to an end with the Blackhawks leading 5-1 as they made 13 shots on goal while the Canucks made six attempts.
The Blackhawks came across another power-play and scored in the third minute through Patrick Sharp from a powerful strike. Sharp scored once again in the 14th minute to take the lead to 7-1. The Canucks scored a consolatory goal in the 17th
minute through Daniel Sedin.
In the end, it was the Blackhawks who won 7-2 and cut the lead to 1-3 in the series.
