Chicago Blackhawks to play home game against Red Wings outdoors at Wrigley Field! good idea or bad idea?

I say Good Idea because Not only its gains Popularity with the Hawks playing at Wrigley Field but Its Gains Momentum Because They also have a Team that can get into the Playoffs.

it's a great idea... but i wish that they woulda given the home advantage to detroit, then i'd have a better chance of making it to the game.

wow i hadnt heard this yet...and though I HATE Wrigley Field, I'm gonna find a way to be at this game...i think the random NHL outdoor games each year are a great idea and have been very successful.

A good chunk of that TV audience from this years Winter Classic were watching because it was an outdoor game. They wanted to see an outdoor NHL game. Now that people have seen an outdoor game the novelty value drops,

It sounds cool, although it seems that Soldier Field would be a more appropriate venue.  A baseball stadium just doesn't seem like the right layout for optimized fan viewing.  Its not like the Bears will be in the playoffs or anything... right?

It's a great thing for the sport to be advertised and to show everybody that this is the best sport ever also they should get ESPN to cover the game then we might get a contract with them

Also this is going to be a GREAT game too the Blackhawks have Campbell and huet plus their young stars and the Red Wings with the addition of Hossa and their dream team. It will be a great one

It's a great idea, it's about the only thing the NHL can do to fill up a stadium anymore.

Great choices of teams, an alright venue choice, but to do it one year after the Sabres and Pens game....if you do it every year, the novelty of it wears off....even if it is only one game, two teams every year.   I think the league should do an outdoor game only every two or three years.  

If your going to do it every year, make it the all star game thats played outdoors...not a game that counts in the standings.
