Chicago Bulls forward Carlos Boozer thanks his team for showing support

It is safe to say that this post-season has been less than ideal for the Chicago Bulls’ burly power forward Carlos Boozer.
Boozer has braved through the playoffs with a painful turf toe injury which took a toll on his performance. So much so, that he moved down in the eyes of the very fans, he lives to please. In multiple games of the semifinal series
against the Atlanta Hawks, Boozer suffered the wrath of his own fans in the form of boos. However, Boozer’s teammates never left him alone and supported him through his slump. And Boozer has let the whole world know, how grateful he was for their support.
"I love my teammates, man. We've been defending each other all season, no matter who was going through what throughout the course of the year. We've always had each other's back. We're all like a family. A lot of people say that,
but we really are. It felt great to have everybody on my side that's in this locker room and that's how we've been all season."
The 29-year-old first year Bull repaid his team’s trust and finally broke out of his slump in the game-6 of the semifinal series against the Atlanta Hawks. Boozer erupted with his best performance of the play-offs on Thursday night
to spearhead the Bulls into the Eastern Conference Finals. Boozer racked up a game-high 23 points and 10 rebounds to end Atlanta Hawks’ season.
Carlos believes that the kind of support he received from his team will spur him to perform even better, "Of course it does. When you have your teammates out there with you, you know the guy behind you has your back, he knows that
you have his back. That's what a team is supposed to do."
Chicago’s most explosive player, Derrick Rose admitted before the game-1 of the Eastern Conference Final series against the Miami Heat that the timing of Boozers’ comeback couldn’t have been more perfect. "It's huge. Definitely
huge. We need him. We definitely need him.” Rose said. “Everybody needs to come together now, but I think that we're there and we'll have to see how things go."
Rose was spot on in his assessment and when the Bulls took on Miami in the game-1 on Sunday, Boozer provided a substantial support with 14 points and 9 boards in a 103-82 victory.
Even though Carlos has admitted that his toe is getting better, he is still playing with some stiffness and pain. Boozer however is not prepared to let go of a chance to beat the Heat and take the Bulls to the promise land they
have yearned for since 1998.
