Chicago Bulls need Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer to lift their game
Chicago Bulls have been the team to beat this season. The Bulls finished the regular season with the best record not only in the Eastern Conference but the entire league. They had the best away record and were tied with the San
Antonio Spurs for the best home record. However, with the playoffs just around the corner, things are going to be entirely different. In the post season, it comes down to the best of the best and there is no room for the strugglers.
Chicago’s All-Star guard Derrick Rose has had a phenomenal season and he continues to provide fireworks on both sides of the court. However, off late the Bulls have been overly reliant on the brilliance of Rose and desperately
need to charge up their two potential game-winners Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer.
During the playoffs, the Bulls will take on the likes of Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat and against teams of such caliber and depth; a one man show will be just not enough. Noah and Boozer have to fire on all cylinders and back
their sharp-shooter Rose if the Bulls are to make a deep run into the playoffs.
Rose has led the Bulls to the summit of the league single-handedly, but now is the time for the squad to change the tradition of relying on a one man.
On Tuesday night, Chicago sustained their winning streak against the spirited New York Knicks with a comprehensive 103-90 win at the Madison Square Garden. Rose clinched another game-high 26 points to put the visiting Bulls on
the frontline. Power forward however also sparked for the Bulls, landing 14 points and 22 rebounds that made a considerable difference in the win. With the substantial support from Boozer, Chicago utterly dominated the Knicks on their home court.
Noah however finished the night with only 13 points in 28 minutes of play and he needs to stir up the momentum a little bit. Boozer is quite strong on the offensive side of the court where as Noah is impressively active on the
defense. If the Bulls can manage to engage their two players effectively in the fast approaching showdowns, it will definitely infuse incredible energy in the starting five.
