Chicago Bulls vs. Miami Heat Game 3 Preview – NBA Eastern Conference Finals
With a 2-1 series lead at stake, the Miami Heat and the Chicago Bulls will play game-3 of the Eastern Conference best-of-seven final on Sunday night at the American Airlines Arena.
The NBA's MVP this season, Derrick Rose is excited about Sunday, declared the third game of the series as one of the very interesting games of the league, and said, "This is going to be a crazy game, where I think they are going to have a lot of confidence." "Some way, somehow, we have just got to come up with this win no matter how we get it. We have just got to have more intensity than them and play way more aggressive."
Miami, on Wednesday night, tied the series at one game apiece with their impressive 85-75 victory at the United Center.
The Heat small forward LeBron James had a game-high 29 points, a game-high 10 rebounds, a team-high five assists and a game-high three steals in the victory. The Bulls’ guard Derrick Rose, on the other hand, had a relatively unimpressive team-high 21 points in the defeat.
The Bulls started the previous game in a fantastic manner and looked daggers as they went on an amazing 11-4 run in the first quarter, taking a 26-19 lead into the second.
However, guard Dwyane Wade scored 12 of his 24 points in the second quarter helped the Heat outplay the Bulls by nine points in the quarter and that allowed Miami to take a two-point lead into half time. The Heat turned it on in the third quarter and shot 50 percent from the field to maintain their hold on the contest. Additionally, they received perhaps an unexpected contribution off the bench from Udonis Haslem as he scored nine of his points in the third.
What really secures the game for Miami was its defensive play in the final stanza as the Heat only allowed the Bulls to score just two points in the last 7 minutes with the final resulting in an 85-75 victory.
Miami’s coach, Erik Spoelstra is fully determined to lead the series as he rounded up his players and held practice at Miami. In addition to that, he is happy that his team got a chance to take rest for three days at the end of game-2 to have been a rewarding feeling.
Spoelstra acknowledged the Bulls are tough to be beaten and said, "Fortunately, we were able to have some days to recuperate.” "Our guys, they are not shying away from it. Neither team is. Both teams have built these habits for the entire season. We have proven we are an aggressive, attacking, physical defenced that rebounds the basketball. ... They have proven to be the same. So you have two things colliding into each other."
Both teams are convinced that Sunday night, a loose play here or there might be the difference, and will be striving to keep up their concentration throughout the game.
