Chicago Chop House or Ruth Chris?

Question

The boyfriend and I are taking a small weekend getaway in Chicago. We wanted to go out for a romantic steak dinner. I have looked into it a bit and found the Chicago Chop House and Ruth Chris to be of some interest. Can anyone tell me which they would choose, or if they can suggest another place. He's kinda picky so a steakhouse is what we need. All suggestions are welcome though! Thanks!!

I have never been to the Chop House in Chicago.  It is probably top notch.  I have been to many Ruth Chris places across the U.S.  It is expensive, but it is very good.  All sides are a la ca-rte.  The sides are enough for two.  Grab a steak, salad, and two sides of you choice.  It will be plenty.  The service has always been top notch.  With some drinks you are looking at 150-200 for a great meal.  He will not be disappointed with the steak.  I have found that I like the stand alone Ruth Chris restaurant as opposed to the RC in Hotels.

Last I heard, the news was out about Ruth Chris.   Way not worth the price.   They bank on people thinking big price equals great food.   Ain't necessarily so.
