Chicago Cubs hammer Pittsburgh Pirates 12-2 MLB Recap
The Chicago Cubs comprehensively beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 12-2 in the first game of their three-match regular series encounter on Friday, September 7 at PNC Park in Pittsburgh.
"Our worst game of the season, We stunk tonight. There's always a sense of pride you take out on the field to play your best every night you go out there. Sometimes your best stinks. That's where we were tonight," manager Clint Hurdle said on his team’s overall performance.
Pirates’ pitchers played poorly and lost the game with bitter disgrace. They pitched way-ward and could not hold onto their momentum.
