The Chicago Cubs will have a three-game series against the Miami Marlins, starting from Tuesday. The Cubs will have a day-off on Monday after they had a three-game series, played against the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Cardinals, being the World Series defending champion, proved their ascendancy in the series, remaining the dominant one, and winning the series by 2-1 against the Chicago Cubs. But coming to the Marlins Park, the team has different outlook.
This game comes at a time when Ozzie Guillen will be back to become the part of the Marlins after he was suspended for five games when he passed a comment against the Fidel Castro of Cuba.
As to what views does Dale Sveum, the Cubs team manager, have, he called it an unfortunate incident. Nonetheless, the whole episode might not be allowed to overshadow the excitement of playing in the Marlins Park for the Cubs.
"A few extra people will be down there, there's no question about it," Cubs manager Dale Sveum said Sunday. "There's definitely going to be added press and media and questions. It's an unfortunate incident that happened and hopefully it goes away pretty quick, but it's not going to go away when we're there."
The excitement is made known by the team manager. "It sounds like it's huge, it sounds like it's really big," he said. "The gaps are huge, just watching a little bit of the games I've watched. There have been some balls crushed that are outs. [The Marlins] have some speed.”
Another interesting aspect of Tuesday’s game will be Carlos Zambrano’s playing against the Cubs. The former Cubs starter moved to the Marlins only recently. The team has not forgotten the player for obviously big reasons as he used to be one of the fun-loving guys around for the teammates.
With a lot of surprises on offer here, the Cubs will try to have a better result coming out of the series. The Cubs, after all, had a woefully poor season the past year when they lost more than 90 games which subsequently led to the dismissal of the former team manager, Mike Quade.
