Question:

Chicago - I need directions!?

I live in Aurora and need to be at Cafe De Luca on Damen in Chicago next week for a job interview. Since I live out in the suburbs, I haven't travelled into the city often and don't know many people who know their way around the city.

I need to take the train it, the brown line, and I believe I need to transfer to the blue line. Anyone adept with the trains? Anyone ever make this trip and can give me directions?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

  1. Take the Blue Line towards O'Hare, your stop will be Damen (Milwaukee/North/Damen), walk about 2 blocks North, you should be right there.

  2. Here's what you do:

The Aurora Metra - Burlington Northern Sante Fe (BNSF) arrives downtown at Union Station.  you need to get to the Damen stop on the Blue Line because Cafe De Luca is only about a block north of Damen stop on Damen: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF...

So basically you just need to walk over to the Blue Line's "Clinton" stop about four blocks south of Union Station: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&saddr=Ca... then take the O'Hare train north to Damen.

Google suggests taking the #1 Bus to the Blue Line at Jackson to avoid walking four blocks, you could do that too I suppose: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&saddr=Ca...
