Chicago Prince to steer the Alpha Feeds Standard Trophy – Heat 1 his way round at Nottingham
The Alpha Feeds Standard Trophy – Heat 1 will be hosted by Nottingham over 500 metres flat on Monday, 11th June. Competing in the £150 event are Salacres Town, Droopys Official, Ambleside Al, Slick Robert, Chicago Prince and Romeo Causeway.
The most promising entry for the race is Chicago Prince, Droopys Kewell’s five-year-old black son out of b***h, Cooly Pantera. His season started off with a fifth position in the Stadium Bookmakers Standard Trophy on 9th January at Nottingham
over 500 metres.
The race was won by Modern Man who timed the track distance in 30.52 seconds.
His first seasonal success was in a 420 metres race at Peterborough which he settled in 25.66 seconds. He led the runner up of the race, College Missile, by 3 ¼ lengths.
Missing four more races led to a winning streak that got extended to five. The streak began with a win in a Grade A1 420 metres flat at Peterborough on 21st April. He won the race by completing the trip in 25.63 seconds and leading the 2/1 favourite
runner up, Monleek Sloopy, by four and a half lengths.
His second in row win was in the Bettor.Com Social Betting Seniors Trophy on 25th April at Peterborough over 420 metres. He completed the trip in 26.04 seconds and led the runner up, Geralds Gift, by a mere head’s difference.
The evening’s favourite, Union Jak Jakson, ended fourth.
Chicago Prince struck a hat trick by winning a Grade A1 420 metres flat race at Peterborough on 5th May. The evening’s favourite timed the track distance in 25.74 seconds.
On 26th May, the 6/4 favourite won a Grade A1 420 metres flat at Peterborough by making it to the other end of the wire in 25.33 seconds.
The five-year-old notched the count to five on 4th June in the Stadium Bookmakers 480 metres Trophy at Nottingham over 480 metres. The 7/4 favourite of the race clocked the track distance in 29.46 seconds and led the runner up of the race, Takemetherelater,
by 1 ¼ lengths.
His chances of claiming the race tonight are substantial and it will take up the streak to six.
