Chicago White Sox Dayan Viciedo shows excitement to be a part of youth programme – MLB News
The Chicago White Sox and Cuban native Dayan Viciedo is highly impressed by his club’s youth programme that is running for many years now.
Currently, the entire White Sox management along with their roster are busy at the annual FanFest event trying to project some empathy with their loyal fans.
Viciedo however, also spoke to the media and during his detailed session with the reporters, he told them about the White Sox extraordinary youth programme that has been assisting many youngsters from many years.
Viciedo said, “I'm excited to be a part of this youth movement, and it's a group that I've worked with before, and there's a good bond, so there's going to be some good chemistry.”
Despite this youth programme, many other young White Sox players commented in the media emphasising more on next season’s preparations and rotation changing.
Infielder Tyler Flowers said, “I'm ready for whatever presents itself, hopefully it's a bigger opportunity and I can get some starts in a row. We got A.J., who has been pretty darn productive for his whole career. So we'll have to see how it shakes out in next season. It was great to get that opportunity and experience (last season) and show them what I was capable of if someone needed to step in.”
Along with the White Sox youth development programme within the franchise to improve the skills of youngsters and to upgrade them to Minor Leaguers, many experts do believe that this continuous process will lead them one day to an ultimate goal.
Not only will this prove a great advantage for the White Sox roster over many stronger teams but it will also help them to introduce some quality players every season without spending extra money on new signings.
White Sox general manager Kenny Williams and new manager Robin Ventura also know how the next season will be playing a key role in the development of this youth programme for future seasons. The next season however, is going to bring some top-notch challenges for the White Sox, who finished behind the Cleveland Indians.
