Chicago White Sox GM Kenny Williams still carries option for trades – MLB News
The Chicago White Sox general manager Kenny Williams has huge experience in Major League Baseball as a top executive. His experience and leadership skills have always impressed many while the White Sox chairman including their owner both have given free
hands to Williams whenever he wanted to trade players in order to give stability in the roster. His past handlings of trade issues are the main reason why the White Sox management trust so much on his decisions.
For Kenny Williams, on the other hand, this year has been proving pretty tough as the White Sox management is still not sure how much money they need to spend on trading their certain players. Almost $127 million has been already spent on players’ salaries
last season and now the White Sox top executives are not letting Williams to involve in any trade which will eventually make things worse.
However, the talented GM has his own ways and saying that bluntly he will find a possible solution to fix this late financial difficulty the White Sox are facing and showed his enormous commitment to that very assignment. Not only will he try to make some
trade in this off-season but also bring some more quality and experienced players into the roster for the next MLB season.
Recently, Williams discussed in the media his observation how to bring more quality player for strengthening the roster and said, “You know by now I’m generally ready, I’m ready right now. There is some fact-finding that has to go on,
and this is going to take a while. If I feel at the end of the day that the best scenarios present for us are those in which we have to take that big step back, then we will do so and field a younger team, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be trying to win.”
White Sox players like Carlos Quentin, John Danks and Gavin Floyd are the top most priority of Kenny Williams and are about to make their way into another organisation. But only time will tell what the eventual White Sox roster will look like during the
2012 season.
