Chicago White Sox Jerry Reinsdorf shows interest in adding Tony La Russa to his front office

A well known newspaper has reported on Monday morning that the Chicago White Sox current chairman Jerry Reinsdorf is showing his deep interest in adding Tony La Russa to his front office as manger of the team.
Reinsdorf was present at the White Sox official dinner where he was asked by a sports journalist regarding his previous relationship with him and whether he would like to work again or not. Reinsdorf replayed confidence and wishfully. He said, “I would love
to.”
Later, Reinsdorf released a statement, in which he commented in detail.
“Tony La Russa certainly left his mark on the game of baseball and, His brilliance is his legacy for long time. One of two managers to win a World Series in each league, six pennants, it says a lot about the man that he wasn't just going to stick around
to break records.”
La Russa, who has recently retired as the St. Louis Cardinals’ skipper, won three MLB Championships with three different teams. His arrival will inspire hugely the White Sox franchise if he decided to join. Along with three titles, La Russa has also won
six pennants, 12 Division Championships and a total of 2,728 wins in his managerial career. His most recent accomplishment was witnessed by millions in USA and across the World when his finest strategies won his team the St. Louis Cardinals the 2011 World
Series as they thrashed the Texas Rangers in Game-7.
Managing the Cardinals for seven years, La Russa has also managed the White Sox in the past. He was manager of White Sox from 1979-86 and recorded 522-510.
His retirement as Cardinals’ manager has sparked opportunities for him to become the White Sox manager again. Many baseball experts have also mentioned in the media as he can play a very vital role with the White Sox as it also seems to make the most sense.
It will be interesting to see what La Russa decides to do after his retirement from the Cardinals. As it seems many teams may approach him and make offers for his valuable services.
