Chicago White Sox John Danks believes his pitching will perfect by the time next season starts
The Chicago White Sox are currently busy practising hard in 2012 Major League Baseball Spring Training in Arizona. So far their games are giving them positive output regarding every player’s level of commitment, form and fitness details.
Up to now, almost every White Sox player has performed and gave the impression that they all are ready to compete against every opponent and will give their best play next season.
However, only few White Sox players are still to prove the point as they are also looking forward to do well in the upcoming event while starting pitcher John Danks is one of those players, who have yet to make any energetic impression on the team.
He is pitching, but not up-to the standards of his class, like from past five years; he has been playing a top level game in the Major League. On the other hand, his not up-to-the-mark pitching is causing his confidence level. He is not picking-up the right pace as he recently explained in the media as how and why he is not pitching well at the moment.
Danks said, “No, just missed a kid, It’s frustrating. We’re all competitive, but in the grand scheme of things, I know where we need to be. Full confidence I’ll get there by the time the season starts. I’m not beating myself up like I did last time. I feel good, made some good pitches and have to keep working.”
Earlier Danks has also said for his team, "We don't have guys who are going to strike out 10 or 15 every night out. We'll pitch to contact and need guys to make plays behind us. We know that if we pitch to contact and make the guys hit it.”
Danks, who is considered at the moment as Opening Day starting pitcher for the White Sox, needs some more games to play in this year’s Spring Training in order build his game with added perfection. Spring Training will last only a month, but as soon as the next Major League starts, Danks’ real test of skills possibly will determine how his pitching has grown with perfection.
