Chicago White Sox Philip Humber looks to excel in the season – MLB News

The Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Philip Humber is happy regarding his recent form in this ongoing Major League Baseball season.

He knows the complexity of every start while putting more concentration on his pitching zone, Humber feels much relaxed and stronger than last year’s outing.

There are few game related points on which Humber is also looking forward passionately. He is preparing himself to start a game with a new team-mate left hand pitcher Eric Stults, a young and talented player is recently being promoted from White Sox farm team/Minor
League Triple-A Charlotte. He is also young prodigy and looking forward his way into the biggest baseball league in the world and also with team-mate Humber.

White Sox ace pitcher Humber is also pleased as he now feels fully prepared to pitch the lower counts of throws which will allow him to be more subtle on the mound as well.

Humber said in detail, "The funny thing is my first strike percentage is out of this world, I've gotten ahead in the count, next thing you know, I'm 3-2 and my pitch count has been crazy. Last year my pitch count was low. Most of my starts I would get into
the sixth or seventh with 80 to 90 pitches.”

He added, “That's where you want to be, I can get back to that. The good news is I feel good and feel stronger than I did last year. I definitely feel my fastball and breaking ball are better than at this time last year.”

Currently Humber’s stats suggest as he certainly is a hardworking pitcher. At the moment his ERA is consistent at 6.83 while there are plenty more chances he will going to have in the coming days to increase the level of productivity from his own pitching.

Despite good ERA, his other stats are not that impressive. His 1-2 win loss record along with 28 strike-outs and 1.48 WHIP are still progressing.

On the other hand, his overall 4.17 ERA with 12-11 win loss record, 178 strike-outs and 1.27 WHIP still paces him among the very best of White Sox rotation.
