Chicago White Sox bring support system to sustain results – MLB News
News is coming that the Chicago White Sox now will receive help from different former baseball managers and coaches in order to bring slight consistency into the franchise. The White Sox director of player development Buddy Bell along with former manager Jeff Torborg, retired coaches Joe Nossek  and Art Kusnyer have liked the idea by the top White Sox management of going with the team on selected trips in the coming season.
"There's a support system here," White Sox GM Kenny Williams said. "People care about this man and want him to succeed, want the White Sox to succeed. That's very important to me."
Later the White Sox new manager Robin Ventura said appreciating this idea of support system, "It's nice to have people as a sounding board and not sound crazy as to what you're thinking. I've known them for a long time and trust (them).”
All these former managers and coaches are experienced and know the affairs of a franchise. Jeff Torborg has managed the White in 1990 while rest of coaches and managers have also worked in the South Chicago baseball franchise. The entire White Sox management has also appreciated this idea and now focusing on to maintain a viable strategy for their team’s different trips.
GM Williams along with current manager Robin Ventura are hopeful that taking guidance from these former Major League individuals might help the White Sox in the long run.
The initial idea of bringing these veterans was Williams’, as he wanted to give right kind of support to new manager Ventura. Ventura on the other hand, does not possess any past managerial experience and needs time to adjust in the team.
This support system will also give the White Sox right kind of continuity to play their best game. The White Sox has just completed a wonderful Spring Training and now sitting at a comfortable position to come up with more energy next season. The management has tried and tested their offensive game in the latest trainings drills while experts are suggesting that those offensive drills can benefit the team in the coming days as well.
