Chicago White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski shows optimism for 2012 – MLB News
2011 Major League season was tough for the Chicago White Sox as they could not perform well down the stretch in the regular season that caused them a spot in the postseason.
Though they started off well early in the season but a sudden down-hill performance later proved lethal as they could not recover from it failing to qualify for the next round.
But for the future, the White Sox roster is looking upbeat and hoping not to repeat the same mistakes which led them to total destruction last season. While the recent comments of catcher A.J. Pierzynski also sent a loud wave among the other MLB teams that
the White Sox are preparing hard for the next season.
Pierzynski was also quite happy to be with the White Sox after the recent departure of star pitcher Mark Buehrle, who has just signed with the Miami Marlins.
He spoke in the media with great enthusiasm for his current franchise. He said, “I want to be with the White Sox, I want to win with the White Sox.”
Later he wished well for the White Sox and hoped that they will compete with full energy next season.
On the other hand, the only chance available for the White Sox to boost the performance in 2012 is to add some more pitchers in their roster. With free agency period is going to end soon, the White Sox management certainly has huge a chance now to bring
some new pitchers in.
Recently the White Sox general manager Kenny Williams stated in the media which somehow tells the whole picture about the White Sox top management and what is in their minds at the moment.
Williams said, “It already has been debated, I'm used to that. But we've got a little bit of a track record of being able to put together pretty good pitching staffs, and hopefully we'll continue to do so and see where we end up on the offensive side and
if we can balance it out.”
Though A.J. Pierzynski along with the White Sox GM Kenny Williams is quite hopeful and optimistic about the future but only the time will tell how they will approach the next season with some talented pitchers or without any new comers.
