Chicago White Sox crush Los Angeles Angels 6-1 – MLB Recap
The Chicago White Sox crushed the Los Angeles Angels 6-1 in the second game of their two-match regular series encounter on Thursday, May 17 at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California.
Chris Sale played brilliantly for the White Sox as he went with only one run in over five innings.
Chicago first baseman Paul Konerko said for Sale, “It was nice to see Chris have a good start, He had that little thing where he got out of the rotation for a week and missed a turn, and I think there's no question that it kind of blew his rhythm -- because he didn't have a good game last time. So it was nice to see him get it back, because he was on his way to having a great year."
Later Sale also said for his outing, "I guess that's a cool stat, but it's obviously something I don't pay attention to at all, I have a job to do,”
On the other hand, the Angels’ starter C.J. Wilson gave four runs along with four hits, one earned run and struck-out three White Sox batters.
White Sox, from start of the game, played a well balanced match and went pass the Angels.
Taking early lead in the third, the White Sox players looked confident and never allowed any big loop holes to the Angels’ dire batting lineup who just added a one run into their score tally before losing it 6-1.
With this win the White Sox have also levelled the series 1-1and now aiming for their next potential three-match series against the Chicago Cubs.
Behind Detroit Tigers in American League Central, the White Sox 18-21 are carrying a healthy win loss record as well as consistent winning percentage of.462.
On the other hand, the Angels are not putting up a great show with their inconsistent output. Currently they are at third position in the American League West with 17-22 win loss and.436 winning percentage, but if they want to play more aggressive in the upcoming series against the San Diego Padres, they certainly need to improve their starting rotation’s thrust.
