Chicago White Sox crushed by Boston Red Sox 1-3 – MLB Recap
The Chicago White Sox lost to the Boston Red Sox 1-3 in the final game of their four-match regular series encounter on Thursday, July 19 at Fenway Park in Boston.
The Red Sox played tremendously from start of the game and earned a great victory in the end.
They never showed any loop-holes in the entire game and powered past the White Sox in great style.
Cody Ross played especially well for the Red Sox and earned a great victory for his team.
His three RBIs and run proved decisive for the Red Sox as they easily ousted the White Sox.
"I've always wanted to be up in those situations since I was like my son's age, It's a great feeling, especially when you're the hero. I thought it was kind of a dumb question, but I guess it wasn't," Ross said.
Boston with this win has also won the four-game series 1-3.
"You go back and forth and make decisions, figure them out, You got the two lefties coming up with Crawford and Gonzalez, so you know you know you still got Reeder out there if Ross and the rest of the righties come up." White Sox manager Robin Ventura said
later on his team’s defeat and the some aspects of the game which can be improved in the coming days.
This is not a healthy sign for the White Sox as they are consistently showing poor results after the half season break.
Though they have won the series against the Kansas City Royals but still those two particular wins that helped them clinch the series were not that impressive.
In Thursday’s game again the White Sox could not perform against the Red Sox.
Their pitchers as well as hitters looked tired as they lost the game with bitter humiliation.
Relief pitcher Matt Thornton and closer Addison Reed combined to give up three runs and literally lost the game for the White Sox.
Thornton gave two runs on two hits while Reed gave one run and one earned run on a single hit which proved disastrous for the Chicago side in their second straight defeat.
