The Chicago White Sox crushed by Texas Rangers 0-2 in the third and final game of their three-match regular series encounter on Sunday, July 29 at Rangers Ballpark in Texas.
Despite losing the series, the Rangers still came out on the field with big energy and won in the end with style.
Their pitchers played well and never let the White Sox to take control of the game at any point play.
They pitched accurately and kept the White Sox’s hitters under pressure during the entire game.
Rangers’ Scott Feldman pitched eight innings and allowed only seven hits with no run. He struck out five as his ERA remained consistent at 4.76.
"It just proves that it's a long season, You're going to play 162 games you can't judge a guy too quickly out of the gate. You're going to have ups and downs. The main thing was I started having a better attitude, I'm not getting caught up in rumors or when
I'm going to pitch again or not pitch again. I'm keeping it simple," Feldman said with confidence and told the media with quite detail that how he was able to pitch with precision.
His teammate and closer Joe Nathan also did well and received no hit and run on his 2.18 ERA.
"It's nice to see him pick us up at a huge time, He couldn't have timed it any better for him to start pitching well when we're going through a little bit of a funk,” said Nathan on his particular outing.
On the other hand, despite White Sox’s pitchers also played for their team, but they could not match the Rangers’ brilliance on the mound.
White Sox’s starter Gavin Floyd pitched 6.2 innings and allowed two runs and seven hits. He also allowed one earned run and struck out one Rangers’ hitter while his ERA remained consistent at 4.28.
Relief pitcher Leyson Septimo also did well and maintained his 4.32 ERA.
Overall the game was played on high pace but on the whole it was the Rangers’ aggressive game plan which led to their tremendous win.
