Chicago White Sox defeat Seattle Mariners 4-2 – MLB Update

The Chicago White Sox defeated Seattle Mariners 4-2 on Sunday, June 3 in the third and final game of their three-match regular series encounter at U.S. Cellular Field in 2012 Major League Baseball season.
With this win, the White Sox also won the series 2-1 after losing on Saturday 10-8.
Chris Sale played enormously well for the White Sox as he stood tall in all nine innings and allowed only two runs and five hits.
Giving two earned runs and striking out eight Mariners’ batters, Sale maintained his 2.30 ERA and continued his great into the 2012 MLB season.
"I asked him to go back out. He said, 'Yeah, you got to be efficient,' I wasn't as efficient as I needed to be, I'm just thankful for him to give me that opportunity to go back out there and finish the game. Obviously you want to go out there and be good
every time out, but I don't think there was any added pressure after (the 15-strikeout game). I take the ball every day with the same mindset," Sale said about the slight details of his performance and his teammates’ efforts who never gave any loop holes to
opposing team.
Sale added, "It was tough. Obviously the last hitter of the game, you're just bearing down. He got me early."
On the other hand, the Mariners starter Kevin Millwood could not save the game for his team. He was too waivered and looked uncomfortable on the mound for four innings allowing four runs, seven hits and four earned runs. Though his 3.90 ERA was balanced,
but his fast balls certainly proved lethal for him as he received seven hits on which the White Sox players completed four runs in quick intervals.
Those four runs were enough for Chicago side as they slowly but steadily won the game stretching two runs’ gap in fourth inning.
In the meanwhile, this particular win has also given the White Sox’s a three game advantage over the Cleveland Indians who are at the moment at second place behind Chicago in the American League Central Division.
