Chicago White Sox left-handed hitters off to confident start – MLB News
The Chicago White Sox left handed hitters are currently having a good time on the plate as they all are showing great temperament in this ongoing Major League Baseball season.
The likes of A.J. Pierzynski and Adam Dunn are the most impressive players of the White Sox who also know how important this season is for them. Both are playing a well balanced game and carrying a healthy hitting average.
Pierzynski is playing with hitting .387 along with three home-runs, 11 RBIs and .394 OBP while Dunn with a hitting average of .179 along with one homer, three RBIs and .256 OBP also proving his game.
Pierzynski recently said, “We're only eight games in, but it's been good, I've been coming up a lot because Paul (Konerko) and Dunn have been getting on base, I went into the year thinking I was going to hit second, but they put (Brent) Morel there and like having Morel there.”
Later manager Robin Ventura also stated for Dunn and the way he is performing in the competition. He said, “He's done fine, He's going to have strikeouts. But we want him to be aggressive and go to the plate with confidence. He's done that. And the work he's done in spring and here, I like what he's doing. I like what you're going to see from him in the future."
Both Major Leaguers are highly experienced and know the current situation of the team. On contrary to these late good performances, the White Sox management want these types of power plays from their entire roster as well.
Robin Ventura, who is managing the White Sox in his very first year of new career as MLB professional manager, is also very optimistic about the way things are happening for him. He has full support of general manager Kenny Williams who has given him somewhat free hand to pick the starting line-up for every game.
So far Ventura has not changed the rotation or lineup, but according to some experts, the next games against the Seattle Mariners, Oakland Athletics, Boston Red Sox, Cleveland Indians and Detroit Tigers will be the tough task for new White Sox skipper.
