Chicago White Sox lose to Detroit Tigers 4-6 – MLB Update

The Chicago White Sox lost to Detroit Tigers 4-6 in the third and final game of their three-match regular series encounter on Sunday, July 22 at Comerica Park in Detroit.
The Tigers played wonderfully and eventually won the game in style. Not only they won this particular game, but they also won the series with a clean sweep 3-0.
Tigers’ also maintained their five-game winning streak while the White Sox suffered one of their worst runs in the second half of the season as they received their fifth straight defeat.
White Sox upfront pitching lineup could not perform well and lost bitterly in the end.
Starter Philip Humber played a poor game. He looked tired on the mound and was hammered with some big hits. He gave six runs on seven hits while he also gave six earned runs. He was unable to strike-out even a single batter as his ERA also rose to 6.25.
"I picked the wrong day to get balls up in the zone, The stuff was there, but when you are facing that team, and especially that team when they are hot, your stuff doesn't matter if you leave it up," Humber said.
On the other hand, the Tigers’ starter Jacob Turner pitched well for his team. He tossed 5.1 innings and gave three runs on seven hits. He also gave three earned runs and struck-out three White Sox hitters.
He remained confident on the mound as he won the game for the Tigers with quite ease.
"I think the biggest difference is just being more aggressive, attacking the hitters and not really worrying about who might be at the plate, but just going right after them," Turner said.
Later Detroit manager Jim Leyland said, "Somebody got it. They got it somehow, They got in there and got it, and that's his 300th, so I'm sure they'll take care of it for him."
Along with pitchers, the hitters also played a key role in their team’s win especially Miguel Cabrera performed certainly well with his two runs, two RBIs on two hits and proved one of the winning factors for the Tigers’ win.
