Chicago White Sox lose to Kansas City Royals 0-3 - MLB Recap
Chicago White Sox lost to Kansas City Royals 0-3 in the second game of their three-match regular series encounter on Wednesday, September 19 at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.
Bruce Chen was the mastermind behind the Royals’ win. He played tremendously and earned a great victory for his team.
Chen stood tall against the White Sox’s batters and did not allow them to score even a single run. He tossed 6.2 solid innings and received five hits. He did not receive any run during his entire spell, Chen also struck-out four and remained consistent with his 5.22 ERA.
"Bruce Chen was right on top of his game, I told him after he was done, 'You did a great job of pitching yourself into trouble in the fourth inning and even a better job of pitching yourself out of it.' Bruce did a phenomenal job,” Royals' manager Ned Yost said.
Later Chen said, "We didn't panic, We stuck to our game plan."
On the other hand, the White Sox starter Chris Sale could not play well. He remained under pressure and lost the game for the White Sox with bitter disgrace.
Royals’ batters played him with quite offensive strategy and hammered with big hits. Sale received three runs on his 6.2 innings spell. He received eight hits and struck-out eight Royals’ batters on his 2.82 ERA.
"We're going to have to win no matter what. We have to take care of our business, It's difficult when you play like this. This one stinks and you have to move on, We're going to have to win no matter what," White Sox manager Robin Ventura said of his team’s performance.
Along with pitchers, the Royals’ batters also did well on the plate and helped their team to oust the Indians in style.
