Chicago White Sox lose to Kansas City Royals 1- 2 – MLB Update

The Chicago White Sox lost to Kansas City Royals 1-2 in the final game of their three-match regular series encounter on Sunday, September 9 at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago.
"Situationally, we didn't do what we wanted to do offensively, It was a bad day all the way around," White Sox manager Robin Ventura said on his team’s poor performance.
Later Gordon Beckham said, “Unfortunately for us, the shadows really played a huge part in that last inning, It was tough to see and Holland, he's got a great slider. He's throwing 98 miles per hour. He's really good. He just mixes pitches real well and got quick outs, He's got a lot of sink on the ball."
Royals’ batters and pitchers played beautifully and earned a great victory. They never let the White Sox pitchers and hitters take control of the game which eventually proved fruitful for them as they eased past their opponents with a one run advantage.
"Guthrie was phenomenal, I mean really phenomenal. We didn't get him any runs. Outfield defense was tremendous today," Royals' manager Ned Yost said.
Royals’ upfront batting line-up showed their true class and hammered the White Sox pitchers with big hits.
Designated hitter Jarrod Dyson played with tremendous energy as he earned a run on his consistent .337 slugging percentage.
Catcher Salvador Perez also played well as he scored one run and smashed two hits on his .505 slugging percentage.
Third baseman Mike Moustakas ran for a single RBI as he also smashed one hit on his five at-bats.
Not only batters, the Royals’ pitchers also played well and earned a great victory for their team.
Starter Jeremy Guthrie pitched eight innings and received six hits. He pitched brilliantly and did not allow any run on his consistent 3.23. He retired four batters and proved one of the winning factors for the Royals.
The only pitcher who allowed a potential-run from the Royals’ roster was Greg Holland. He pitched one inning and received one hit and a run on his consistent 2.90 ERA.
