Chicago White Sox lose to Toronto Blue Jays 0-4 – MLB Recap
The Chicago White Sox lose to Toronto Blue Jays 0-4 in the second game of their three-match regular series encounter on Wednesday, June 6 at U.S. Cellular Field in 2012 Major League Baseball season.
The star of the game was Brandon Morrow who allowed only two hits and gave his team a tremendous win, while the overall team also played well and never allowed the White Sox batters to score even a single run.
He remained calm on the mound for nine innings and never allowed any run. He also struck-out five White Sox batters and maintained his 2.90 consistent ERA.
"It felt fine for a few days. It's just sore to the touch. It doesn't hurt to move. There was no hesitation, There's that chance every time you take the mound. That's not something you think of. If it happens, it happens, It was mainly all fastball, slider.
I threw a few changeups to the left-handers, trying to keep them honest, When I have fastball command down to both sides of the plate, that's when I've been at my best, and that's what I had tonight. I've been hit a few times." Morrow said in detail about
his game and team effort his teammates showed on the field.
On the other hand, White Sox starter Jose Quintana could not play well as he gave two runs and nine hits.
While later closer Hector Santiago was also hammered with two runs and never felt easy on the mound.
Overall the game was played on high pace but pitching prowess and good batting lineup, the Blue Jays went past the White Sox offence.
In the meanwhile, the White Sox despite the loss are sitting quite comfortable at top position in the American League central with 30-26 win loss record along with .559 winning percentage.
The Blue Jays however, are not in good position at the moment. They are still behind from their desired win percentage of .600. Having .508 winning percentage and 30-29 win loss record, they still need to work hard if they wanted to qualify into the next
round of competition. The White Sox will be hoping to put in an improved performance in their future games as they continue to struggle this season.
