Chicago White Sox lose to Toronto Blue Jays 2-3 – MLB Recap
The Chicago White Sox lost to Toronto Blue Jays 2-3 in the first game of their four-match regular series encounter on Monday, August 13 at Rogers Centre in Toronto.
White Sox played poor from start of the game and lost in the end. They gave too many chances to their opponents and could not save the game.
White Sox upfront roster did not show their natural game and lost bitterly.
"Besides Adam, we didn't really get anything going," White Sox manager Ventura said. "Didn't look fluid or anything, so you hope it gets better. We have to get something else going besides waiting for home runs."
Later Robin Ventura also added and explained about his team’s performance, "For one reason or another, we don't seem to score too much for him, He always goes out there knowing each pitch can cost him. We need to do a better job of giving him more room to pitch with."
Blue Jays went early into lead and later kept their lead with enormous energy. Their hitters performed exceptionally and earned a great victory for their team. The Blue Jays’ consistently attacked the White Sox’s dire defence and eventually came out victorious.
"Dunn makes the park look like a Little League field every time up," Blue Jays' manager John Farrell said later in the game.
Blue Jays’ senior payers performed and never showed loop-holes in their game. Pitchers on the other hand, also played wonderfully for the Blue Jays and won a decent victory for their team.
Carlos Villanueva looked confident on the mound as he pitched seven solid innings and allowed only one run and five hits. He retired eight White Sox batters and literally won the game for his team. His ERA was also remained consistent at 3.12.
Relief pitcher Casey Janssen also played beautifully as he pitched one inning and allowed only one run and two hits on his 2.37.
Blue Jays’ pitchers were the main reason as they defeated the White Sox with that ease.
