Chicago White Sox lose to Toronto Blue Jays  5-9 – MLB Recap
The Chicago White Sox lost to Toronto Blue Jays 5-9 in the first game of their three-match regular series encounter on Tuesday, June 5 at U.S. Cellular Field in 2012 Major League Baseball season.
Centre Fielder Colby Rasmus played brilliantly for the Jays and earned a great win. He made four runs along with five hits on his five at bats as he also maintained his slugging percentage at .447.
"Tonight, they fell in for me, which is nice. I felt comfortable at the plate with what I was trying to do with my approach, and it worked out, I'd love to have at-bats like I did tonight. I like hitting in the two-hole.” said Rasmus, who played a helping hand for his team’s great win which now stands at top position in the American League East Division.
He added with more details about his team’s combined effort, “It's a good place to hit for me, the type of hitter I am. It doesn't give you a lot of time to think, The game starts and you're in there hitting. The at-bats come real fast and there's not a lot of sitting around, which is good.”
Starter Ricky Romero also played well for the Jays as he held the White Sox’s batting offence with big energy. He remained calm and confident on the mound for seven innings and kept the White Sox’s under pressure.
Though he received six hits but he also struck out four best batters of White Sox which could have played better if he would have left early. He remained on the mound for good seven innings and maintained his 4.02 ERA allowing no extra loop holes to his opponents.
On the other hand, the White Sox main man starter Philip Humber could not save the game. He was not impressive with his pitching and gave too much waivered fast balls.
He went for seven hits and allowed five runs. Striking out only three batters, Humber was also struck with two home-runs which said to be the disastrous performance by a Major League player who possessed six years experience.
