Chicago White Sox manager Robin Ventura planning lineup changes – MLB News
The Chicago White Sox new manager Robin Ventura is planning to shake little things up to improve the level of performance of his team in this ongoing Major League Baseball.
Earlier on Tuesday, the game against Cleveland Indians was already postponed due to bad weather while Ventura got some essential time to look back on some of the latest games White Sox played in this season.
By looking at certain games, Ventura realised that his team at the moment is not feeling comfortable at defensive-approach and to need some improvements in that area, he has to come up with a new approach which will determine the real consistency in team
results.
Ventura said, “I'm thinking the first 20 to 25 games, you're trying to figure out more of a steady lineup, But this early, I feel like I can still move guys around and nobody is reading. I told them, 'Don't read into anything.' There are no signs. We're
just trying to get guys in and put you in where I think you can be successful."
Ventura added, “I'm thinking the first 20 to 25 games, you're trying to figure out more of a steady lineup, But this early, I feel like I can still move guys around and nobody is reading (into it).”
This is rather good approach than to change the whole lineup or change the whole rotation. Changing few players on different positions can bring slight improvement as well.
Ventura at first pushing Gordon Beckham, Alex Rios, Alejandro De Aza, and Justin Masterson to improve their plays, but at the same time he wants to give them responsibility of being seniors in the roster and they also have to take the bigger task ahead of
winning the World Series.
While Kosuke Fukudome, Paul Konerko, Alexei Ramirez, Dayan Viciedo are the ones who will be asked to change their respective positions just to bring more consistency in future.
In the meanwhile, the White Sox management has yet to comment on manager Ventura’s suggested changes, but experts believe that these changes are still to impress all and before mid season, Ventura might have to wait implementing them.
