Chicago White Sox manager Robin Ventura pulling together his roster – MLB News
The Chicago White Sox manager Robin Ventura is feeling easier with his recent job as manager of team. He is now getting the grip on his managerial skills with assembling his entire roster to achieve more consistent results in the coming days as well.
This is Ventura’s first ever job after completing his career as professional baseball player in the Major League Baseball. The enormous amount of confidence of White Sox’s general manager Kenny Williams was the main reason that Ventura arrived in South Chicago baseball franchise as manager.
Recently, Ventura who is sitting quite comfortable at start of the season, told the media about his fresh tactic of assembling the team which is proving beneficial for them.
"You go over everything," Ventura said. "You go over the pitchers, where you’re playing guys [defensively], how we’re doing things. You kind of recap things that happened in the previous series we think need to be looked at a little better. That’s part of staying on top of everything. I write things down that I see."
Ventura further added, “It doesn’t mean difficult things don’t get talked about, I don’t want it aired out for everybody to see. I’d rather do it face to face. I’ve always felt that way. I’ve played on teams where that was how it was done,”
The White Sox are currently playing smooth game. From their first game to their recent game against the Seattle Mariners, the results are not very bad.
Losing the first regular series 2-1 from last year’s World Series finalist the Texas Rangers, the White Sox bounced back in style as they defeated the Cleveland Indians 2-0.
Later from Detroit Tigers to Baltimore Orioles, the White Sox kept their thrust and showed consistence game. Now the White Sox management including GM Kenny Williams and manager Robin Ventura are feeling slight pressure regarding the upcoming days where they will be facing the Oakland Athletics, Boston Red Sox, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels, Chicago Cubs, Minnesota Twins, Tampa Bay Rays, Toronto Blue Jays, Houston Astros, St Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Dodgers, Milwaukee Brewers and New York Yankees.
