Chicago White Sox manager Robin Ventura thinks Dayan Viciedo getting closer and closer – MLB News
The Chicago White Sox new manager Robin Ventura is giving confidence to his players before entering in 2012 Major League Baseball season. His hard work with the hitters is exceptionally well based on the White Sox’s offensive methodology.
Lately during a press conference where Ventura was giving briefing to several local reporters, one particular reporter asked him about Dayan Viciedo’s game and his potential chances to play in this coming season.
Ventura calmly answered those questions and tried to give all the details which White Sox’s fans enthralled to listen. Firstly he talked about Viciedo’s game and the chances to play on Opening day. "He's getting closer and closer, it has gotten better,''
Ventura said with confidence showing his full support to Viciedo."His frustration level has subsided a little bit. He got a hit. It wasn't the hardest hit ball but it's always a relief to do something.''
Viciedo is good player and within two years he has established himself as a good backup player for Chicago. White Sox currently facing some troubles in their farm system. They believe at the same time that Viciedo’s game is very important for them, but with
some serious issues, they cannot initiate anything which could threaten their chances to compete against top opponents.
Some experts also believe that this might be not a right time for Viciedo to play a Major League regular season. Suppose if Viciedo gets inured in the coming season, the White Sox not only have to involve themselves in the mid season trade, but they also
need some money to bring another good player in the team.
Robin Ventura on the other hand, thinks differently. According to his understanding, the team should be playing with younger players. Like Viciedo, who is now almost ready to be a part of the senior team in Chicago, still having problems to convince the
top management that he can play an active role in the White Sox’s winnings while if things remained positive and Robin Ventura also remained consistent with his intentions, there is a possibility that Viciedo will be making a potential start on Opening Day.
