Chicago White Sox manager Robin Ventura upbeat ahead of next season – MLB News
The Chicago White Sox new manager Robin Ventura is satisfied with the level of confidence his team is showing in this year’s Spring Training in Arizona. During a press conference after the training, he looked certainly upbeat and spoke well for his team
and the level of effort they are putting into training in order to produce consistent results next season is also substantial.
Earlier, on the question of Robin Ventura’s new job as the White Sox manager, some former baseball players and experts commented in the media showing full support to Ventura. “I think he’s going to be great,” said Hall of Fame third baseman George Brett,
the Royals’ vice president of baseball operations. “Robin played the game the right way, and he’s going to take the same approach as a manager, I’m sure of it.”
Ventura, a former professional baseball player, has no experience in managing any baseball franchise, but the way he is making efforts in Spring Training with the team, shows his level of commitment. Ventura, with the entire White Sox roster, is planning
an offensive strategy for the next season. If this new strategy worked out for the team, Ventura’s future will surely be secure for next couple of season.
Lately Ventura has also said, “Right now we’re going through drills, I want them having fun, I want them taking it serious and realizing we don’t put it on the schedule just to kind of go through the motions and just to have it there. I want it done right,
or we’re going to stay out until we do it right.”
Last year when the White Sox management appointed him as new manager, certainly everybody in the baseball world was surprised and did not take that particular decision with ease instead started criticising him and the top management.
The current general manager of White Sox Kenny Williams was the main person in firing lines, but with all the criticism from the media and fans, he remained confident and always objected Ventura a pure strategist. Already Ventura has started performing well
during the Spring Training and by the time next season will start; further improvements will follow as well.
