Chicago White Sox must win quickly, says GM Kenny Williams – MLB News
The Chicago White Sox general manager is having a great time in this year. With his team performing well during the entire 2012 Major League Baseball Spring Training and several exhibition games in Arizona, the GM knows that he and his team have a great chance to prove the other League teams as they are the most improved teams of 2012 and well be surprising many with their performances in the coming event.
Lately, when some reporters asked some questions about White Sox’s winning chances this time around, the GM replied with great accuracy commenting each player’s deficiencies and improvements.
He also added that the White Sox must win quickly in order to display good start and also to qualify for the next stage of play in the post season.
Williams said, “I struggle with this, I just want to move on from a lot of the (stuff) that was going on. So this is hard for me. This is hard. All I can do is just continued to say positive things about the past and look forward to the future.”
He added, “We have to earn some of our fans' patronage back; our situation is different than most large-market clubs. I'm not crying or whining about it, because I've said it for years. We have to produce for people to come to the ballpark, and we did not last year.”
This is a good time for the White Sox management who is realising quickly and coming in shape as well. They White Sox want quick wins which will bring the right kind of stability in the team making sure the White Sox progress to the last stages of the play.
On the other hand, the White Sox manager Robin Ventura is also seems happy for his team. He thinks the balanced rotation and strong batting line-up can be lethal for all other competing teams.
In the meanwhile, GM Ken Williams and manager Ventura now face another task to accomplish. In the coming mid season break, they needed trade for a good pitcher. At the moment they do not have any good starting pitcher who will fill the gap of brilliant Mark Buehrle’s absence.
