Chicago White Sox outfielder Alex Rios out due to strained left Achilles tendon – MLB News
The Chicago White Sox’s management was about to declare their Opening Day roster until Alex Rios was not injured. Reports are coming that he received strained left Achilles tendon and now will be going onto primary disabled list.   
"(Rios) said it was bothering him a little bit," White Sox manager Robin Ventura said for Rios. "He should be available (Friday night), but I don't want to do anything to push it."
Later the White Sox general manager Kenny Williams issued a statement in which he showed optimism and tried to calm down his fans which were in great shock when they listened about Rios’s injury.                                                         
Though Robin Ventura has said that his player will be available for an exhibition game, but he will also not push him to start on Opening Day. Rios, who has been playing good baseball throughout the Spring Trainings, certainly seemed a bit nervous when some
reporters asked him questions as whether he is alright or not.
According his optimistic answers to reporters, some experts extracted from his saying that he is also not sure whether he will be ready on Opening Day or not. However, Rios’s close ones are saying that he is feeling comfortable and hoping that the future
will be better.
Having eight years of experience, Rios so far has achieved batting average of .275 along with 118 home-runs, 536 RBIs and .323 OBP. His past performances do enlighten many that he is a good player and will be enthralled to make a comeback into the 2012 Major
League Baseball.
He is one of those players who have come through a systematically detailed process of Minor League farm systems. Previously he had been part of Toronto Blue Jays’ franchise, but in 2009, he was entered in South Chicago Baseball franchise and since then,
playing a well crafted game impressing many with his late swings down the stretch in crucial games. The White Sox management also believe that he is now a very important senior member of the team and if he gained rhythm on time, he will prove a very good play
maker for the team.
