Chicago White Sox outfielder Jared Mitchell looks confident ahead of next season
The Chicago White Sox outfielder Jared Mitchell will be playing his first Major League season this year despite being drafted in 2009. He is currently practising hard in Spring Training and preparing his game for the upcoming season.
The White Sox management is also giving him slight leniency and not putting some extra pressure to play any exceptional game. The White Sox manager Robin Ventura especially is making some unique strategies for Mitchell. He has sat down for hours with the White Sox scouting director Doug Laumann, who earlier has found Mitchell from local school circuit and knows about his game well and that eventually will give him enough confidence to become a good Major League player.
Ventura wants Mitchell to be the best player in few years’ time. Lately, he is working hard on Mitchell giving him some extra last minute tips to perfect his game from April 6 onwards.
Recently, Mitchell also came out in the media and spoke for his future planning and level of enthusiasm he is feeling to play for the White Sox at that huge level.
He said, “It’s part of it, But I went out there and played as if it was any other game. I got to keep working and stay in good habits, anyone can hit with two strikes be successful. The more you do it, the more comfortable you can be in that situation."
Mitchell had also said, "It would not have looked as easy from the outside in. I think so, just not as easily, I'm just trying to keep building on everything. I feel great. It's good to be healthy again. Oh, definitely. It's something that will be implemented into my game more this year.”
It is a good sign for Mitchell and also for the White Sox as their one of the young players are getting in shape and making some planning before going into a new season. Mitchell, who is determined to play his first Major League outing with the White Sox, knows how important this year is for him and for his future game.
