“It’s more his passion of what he enjoys doing,’’ manager Robin Ventura said and explained to the media about his new staff.
Boston is a highly talented individual and knows his worth as he accepted this new job with new focus. He has been with the White Sox Minor League teams for over 10 seasons and performed tremendously during those years.
Robin Ventura, the current White Sox manager, also acknowledged this new strategy which will bring more experienced individuals into the coaching staff.
Working as a coordinator in the farm system of Minor League affiliates, the White Sox has put enormous confidence in Daryl.
“Sitting in the dugout [in September] I noticed we definitely need to improve our leads at first, With the exception of maybe [Paul] Konerko, everybody should be able to go from first to third or break up a double play to give us an extra at-bat,” Boston said.
Boston, a former professional baseball player, certainly achieved big heights. With eleven Major League seasons with the White Sox as a player, Daryl will be looking deep into every player’s past performance and will suggest new and ddifferent areas to improve upon.

“I’ve known Thiggy my entire career, The work he’s done throughout the minors and with the players we have, and being a bullpen guy, he’s a natural fit one I’m very comfortable with,” Ventura said about Thigpen.
Later Thigpen said, “Working with Coop [pitching coach Don Cooper] is going to be great.”
Meanwhile, the White Sox are also expected to make some more potential decisions after the Major League Baseball’s Winter Meetings.
