Chicago White Sox starter John Danks gives thanks for run support – MLB News
The Chicago White Sox starting pitcher John Danks is thanking his teammates on their run support in the recent ongoing Major League Baseball season.
He was very happy on Wednesday night when the White Sox defeated the Cleveland Indians 3-2 as the regular series between them wrapped-up with two wins for the White Sox who were coming with a confidence after winning their Opening Day’s series.
He appreciated his teammates on their tremendous efforts as soon as the game ended. Danks said in the media saying, “I’ll take it, especially on a day like today — I needed it, Very, very fortunate to get it, especially against Justin Masterson. He’s one
of the better pitchers in baseball. For us to do what we did against him, that’s impressive.”
On contrary to Danks’ comments, the White Sox manager Robin Ventura also shared his joy to the media and stated with full jubilation as how wonderful his team played.
“You like to win them because the team is together right after,’’ White Sox manager Robin Ventura said in the media. “It creates a good bond when you’re getting on a plane. It’s good for a team to get that confidence when you win that last game getting out
of town somewhere.’’
Danks, who is a good pitcher especially in first five innings, who also possesses some five years of experience, knows how important this season for the White Sox is.
He is currently pitching at 5.40 ERA along with 1-1 win loss record, nine strikeouts and 1.54 WHIP while his career ERA of 4.05 along with 55-57 win loss record, 723 strikeouts and 1.31 WHIP also makes him a world class player.
This was a big day for the White Sox management as they swept away the Cleveland Indians with a good and convincing win. Now the White Sox are in strong position to play against the tougher rivals in their own division n the next coming days. Currently the
White Sox’s entire roster is playing well and if things remained consistent for them in the near future, more positive results will also be coming.
