Chicago White Sox trade starting pitcher Jason Frasor to Toronto Blue Jays – MLB News
The Chicago White Sox is taking desperate efforts in order to complete their 40-man roster before the 2012 Major League season.
Reports are coming that they have traded their starting pitcher Jason Frasor back to Toronto Blue Jays after acquiring him last July in a deal.
Not only have they sent their potential pitcher back to the Blue Jays but in return they received two Minor League players Myles Jaye and Daniel Webb as future pitching prospects.
However, for Frasor, it was certainly a surprise that in six months, he has been traded two times from the Blue Jays to Chicago and later from the White Sox to Toronto.
On these instant trades, Frasor during a conference call from his home town in Tampa Bay, Florida said,
“It felt like I was never coming back. (His July 27 trade) was an emotional day. I think it was the first time I'd cried since I gave up five runs in Atlanta a couple of years ago, It's hard to believe I'm going back to Toronto. My wife is thrilled, it's
great. What a thrill, I don't know else what it say, and I can't wait to put on those new uniforms.”
He added for coming back in the Blue Jays roster,
“I would have loved going back there, I was there for a couple of months and they were fantastic, great teammates, great people.”
Starting his career from the Blue Jays’ plat-form in 2004, Frasor went on to play for almost six more years with them but traded to the White Sox in July 2011.
From all those years, he has been constant with his 3.74 ERA along with 36 saves, 446 strikeouts and 1.31 WHIP while his last year’s performance of 3.60 ERA along with 57 strike-outs and 1.40 WHIP also tells many that he can play and play hard.
Since he has been traded to the Blue Jays, he can concentrate more on his future with the franchise from where he started his professional baseball career as his arrival will also make the Blue Jays roster strong.
