I'm trying to figure out the names of the expressways/highways they use on traffic reports. I know what the junction, the circle, and the post office is... but what is the point from the junction to the circle called? They always give traffic times, but i always seem to miss it. Can anyone help me?!?! thanks.

  1. Expressway names in Chicago are based upon figures in the era of the interstate highway construction bill such as Eisenhower, Stevenson, Kennedy and Edens etc The downtown circle is known as the loop. BTW, have you tried using the CTA rapid transit system, it works much better than the so called expressways now. Best of luck!
