Chicago decor stores??

I live in the midwest and chicago is pretty close. I was wondering, there are a ton of decor stores in cali....and one is called Urban Home and it's just awesome. All we have around here are places like pier1. Is there any places in chicago similar to pier1 and Urban Home (in cali) that I could road trip to and buy some stuff? Preferably around this price range (like pier1) not TOO expensive...

  1. of course there are but the prices kill and the tax is the highest in the

    nation

    I buy Pottery Barn,Ballard's(no rugs yuck!),Restoration Hardware

    mostly thru their catalogs

p.s. parking is fierce too and super-expensive

Bloomingdale's,Carson Pirie Scott,Macy's,are more reasonably priced

than others downtown;try calling for locations of their close-out locat-

    ions for marked down merchandise.

The old Medinah Temple is now a Bloomies or Macy's and it's huge w

lots home furnishings but you should avoid small specialty places as

they are ridiculous $12,000 for a mattress?
