Chicarito expected to win Premier Conservatory Roofs Handicap
Chicarito is expected to prevail in the Premier Conservatory Roofs Handicap at Bath in England on Wednesday, May 16, 2012. The winning horse will be awarded a cash prize of £2,386 in the end.
The speed of all runners will be put to a test, as they will have to cover and overall distance of 5 furlongs and 11 yards. The going will be good to soft in the race, which is scheduled to start at 20:10 GMT.
A total of 11 runners had lined up for action at Bath and their names are as follows: Madame Feu, Welease Bwian, Catflap, Cats Eyes, Miserere Mei, Chicarito, Ficelle, Jawim, Jeremy Sue, One Last Dream and Hatha Zain.
Out of the above mentioned runners, Catflap might not be able to take part in the race. There is a doubt over her participation, but the final decision will be taken by her trainer just before the start of the event.
The three-year-old filly could have won pretty decent odds today, as she has a very good record in the sport.
At the moment, the bookies have shown full confidence in the abilities of Chicarito, despite the fact that he has never managed to win any race until now. This will certainly discourage the punters from risking money in his favour today.
The three-year-old gelding has participated in nine races until now without any success. The best he could manage was a runner up position once. In addition to that, he has also finished third on three occasions, which shows that he has the potential to
win a race as well.
In his most recent race, the John Gallagher’s trainee performed well, as he finished third overall. However, he will need a stronger effort today in order to prevail at Bath. He will be partnered by Martin Dwyer, who has won quite a few races at this level,
but does not have a good strike rate overall. He will need to be a lot more consistent in order to attract more bets in the future.
Other than the race favourite, Madame Feu, Welease Bwian, Cats Eyes and Miserere Mei will also be the ones to watch out for in the race.
