This is the one I make all the time.  Everyone loves it.  I use the garlic & chive cream cheese instead of regular and omit the other seasonings they say to use (I just put cracked black pepper).  The garlic cream cheese seasons it perfectly. I add mushrooms/broccoli, bacon and/or chicken.  And instead of regular noodles, I use whole wheat noodles.

To reheat leftovers, just add milk and stir well.  It will bring back the creaminess.

  2. a traditional alfredo sauce is very simple. 2 tbsp. butter melted in a sauce pan, add 2 cups of heavy whipping cream and some salt and white pepper to taste. bring to a simmer and add 8oz of grated parmasan cheese. if you like it cheesier add more. make sure you are stirring the sauce constantly when you add the cheese. once it's incorporated into the sauce, toss with pasta and chicken and serve.

  3. Salutations,

get yourself a bottle of your favorite brand of Alfredo sauce, a box of Perdue chicken short-cuts, while the water is boiling for the spagetti, take a pan, heat the chicken as per instruction on package, to this pan, add the sauce and over a low to medium heat bring it just about, but not fully to a Boil. take off the heat, and serve over the pasta. though I admit, I am a Carbonara fan, and would add peas and Pancetta. Cheers

  4. Just leave out the broccoli....I use this all the time.

  6. The easiest way to make chicken alfredo is to buy the alfredo sauce in the jar. Several companies make it. You'll find it in the aisle by the spaghetti sauce. Just cut up your chicken into bite size chunks, brown it in a little olive oil, then add the alfredo sauce to heat it up. Serve it over pasta. Enjoy.

  7. Alfredo Sauce:

    3 tbsp butter

8 fluid oz heavy whipping cream

Heaping ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese

Heaping ¼ cup grated ramano cheese

1 egg yolk with a pinch of salt slightly beaten

    3 tbsp sour cream

    2 good dashes ground nutmeg

2 good dashes garlic parmesan popcorn flavoring

    Salt to taste

2-3 tbsp grated parmesan for garnish

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add heavy cream, stirring constantly. Stir in salt, nutmeg, and popcorn seasoning, grated Parmesan cheese, and grated Romano cheese. Stir constantly until melted, then temper the egg yolk, and add to the sauce. Simmer over medium low heat for 3 to 5 minutes. Garnish with additional grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.

    Cheaters Alfredo Sauce:

1 pkg cream cheese softened and cut into cubes

    milk

seasonings (my faves are seasoned salt, celery salt, granulated garlic, onion powder)

    Parmesan cheese optional

Pasta of choice...bowtie, fettecini, shells etc...

In a sauce pan melt the cream cheese and add milk slowly to get the desired thickness. Add the seasonings and a little parm if you want. You could also garnish with a little parm and dried or fresh chopped parsley.

Sometimes I make this with corn-canned/drianed-frozen/thawed/draine... peas-frozen/thawed/drained, onions-chopped/sauteed, frozen broccoli-you get the picture here, and even carrots-peeled/chopped/and sauteed with the onions.

Add grilled chicken b*****s, or shrimp and scallops.

  8. what I make at our house:

2 jars of Classico Alfredo sauce (doesn't have to be that brand)

3-4 Pan fried chicken breast that have been seasoned with Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Once it cools down cut up into bite size pieces.

4-5 cloves of garlic - sauteed

    Mozzarella cheese

Take the sauteed garlic, penne pasta, alfredo sauce and mix in casserole dish. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over top cover with foil and bake until cheese melts. And to brown it alittle bake with no cover for 5 minutes.

Serve with a Caesar salad and Garlic bread
