Chicken Bath???

I am getting chickens in a couple of months, and my mom would like to know if you can bathe them. And if you can, what do you need to use.

yes you can use baby shampoo on them

i think maybe can but i don't think you should put in in a pond or somethings. I think you maybe can pour small amout of water on those chicken. I not as expert in this. i just giving my opinion. Maybe you should ignore my opinion for the sake of your chicken. Hehe

Yes, the answer is you can in fact bathe them but you have to have a reason . . .

People only tend to bath their chickens if they are going to show them

(ie the night before a big show)

to keep them looking at their best. for the show ring.

chickens are clean animals and will clean themselves anyway

with a "dush bath"

Chickens will not bath in water . .. .  they only drink it..

and don't like being wet at all

hence why they go in when it rains. .

So give them a tray of (dry) sand instead.

They'll love it just like mine
