Chicken Eggs?

When you crack a chicken egg, there is a white floatie thing in the yolk. Is that the baby chicks umbilical cord? If not what is it?

PLEASE HELP!!!!

  1. It's called the chalaza. There is one on either side of the yolk. It helps to hold the yolk in place. Chicks don't have umbilical cords and the eggs most of us eat are unfertilized.


  2. This is the ovum , when fertilized by rooster sperms it will give a baby chicken.
