Chicken Fighting.... Whats your thoughts?

I know everyone has their opinions on Chicken Fighting/c**k Fighting and I was wondering what you think about it? I know people say that is animal cruelty, but it "ain't" besides a chicken is a fowl, it has two legs and feathers. This has been around for centuries your great great papaw's papaw was doing this so why does everyone think its so bad?

I'm a southern girl who loves going to the chicken fights, I raise them and fight them myself....its a southern tradition that some of us live by.

I know everyone is going to say that its illegal but actually its still legal in one or two states. So I want to know does anyone else enjoy going to them like I do?

i live in an area where about a mile out of town a bunch of dumbass rednecks strap razors to the claws of roosters and bet on which one will kill the other, that's not just a bit cruel?

they kill they for food but its soooo bad to make them fight....and they put harsh fines on the guys who do it...so its a human life....or a chicken....ffs lol

I couldn't care less if people want to let birds kill each other, I'm more concerned with the horrible stereotype you are reinforcing with your choice of words.  People from the south get enough c**p as it is.  You are obviously reasonable intelligent and/or able to express yourself effectively even avoiding the misspellings that are so common on here, but "great great papaw's papaw", living by watching birds fight?  C'mon.

Actually, it is illegal in all states, and is a felony in 35. And it can't be cruel because they are fowl? Actually, they can feel pain the same way you or I can. Imagine someone clawing into your skin (sometimes with 3 inch long curved ice picks). Ouch. Kill or be killed.

I've been so lucky to work at a petting zoo where we have many hens and roosters doing their things.  Having chicks.  You are totally wrong.
