  1. You would have to ask.  I never eat ANYTHING without asking or checking the ingredients myself.  That is my mantra.

  2. Don't ask us, ask them!  It might be that fake soy chicken (yum yum.) or it could be real chicken to please the rest of the world who eats meat.

  3. If it is called "a vegan restaurant" it should mean that it's fake chicken.

If it is a restaurant with a vegan section on the menu, ask, if it isn't clear.

  4. Always ask, some veggie restaurants do have some meats on the menu to please so called semi-vegetarians. ug :-(

  5. It's probably fake meat. Some restaurants have an amazing way with fake meats. Yummy. Ask them.

  6. I've been amazed at how many fake meat options there are on vegan restaurants' menus.  I always hope for some great new meal ideas, but instead it's traditional courses with fake meat.  Just to be sure, though, you should ask.

  7. It should be vegan chicken. You should ask them for the ingrediants, they will tell you. If its fake, make sure there were no eggs in the fake chicken.

Usually we call it mock meat :) it taste just like the actual meat but made from tofu, soy, vegetables, etc.
