  1. Lawry's Lemon Pepper Marinade is great for chicken b*****s - especially with a stove top grill!  Slice and serve chicken over angel hair pasta.  Immediately upon draining the pasta toss it with a little butter (you can retain some of the pasta water, too) to keep it from sticking.

Garnish with chopped Italian flat-leaf parsley

  2. Grilled Chicken w/ fresh strawberry salsa

Chicken Fajitas are awesome, too. You can get a kit with the tortillas, spice, salsa and instructions at the grocery store.

    Wraps are awesome, too.

  4. Ridiculous;-{ veggies are an essential part of a balanced diet.

You had 2 starches there last night;-{ too many carbohydrates.

What about spaghetti & tomato sauce, get veggies that way.

You can put onions, mushrooms & peppers in the tomato sauce.

  5. Cheese Stuffed Chicken Breast Wrapped in Bacon and served with Roast Potatoes, and maybe some sweetcorn or creamed leeks for yourself.

  6. Salad, cole slaw, corn on the cob.

  7. carrots and potatoes.

  8. Roast potatoes, parsnips, yams and boiled peas.

If they don't like that tough luck.

Come to my house you either eat what I put out or you starve.....it is a question of manners and etiquette.

  9. What about a fresh fruit salad?  This is a great time of year for all kinds of delicious melons, raspberries and blueberries.

Or, you could go the "party food" route and make fresh guacamole and salsa and serve it with chips or tortillas.  That way, there are veggies, but they're the 'hidden' fun kind.  ;)

There is a great recipe for guacamole at

and an equally great salsa recipe at

Good luck!  Enjoy your chicken.  :)

  10. Grilled Sweet Potato Fries.

Cut them lengthwise in half, then each half in half (you may be able to half those pieces too depending on the size of the potato).

brush with olive oil (or use a butter no stick spray) grill on all sides until just tender.

  11. Get some taco shells or soft taco wraps and do make your own burritos or tacos. That way, everyone can add whatever they like to it.

  12. If they won't eat veggies, then have a fruit salad.  You can't keep having 2 starches (and no fruit or veggies) in each meal:) ... maybe make some baked or mashed sweet potatoes tonight with it too

  13. campbells has some easy casseroles with chicken b*****s that are really good.  If you want something more homemade try pretzel breadcrumbs (process pretzels until fine, add a little butter or oil to keep moist, or you can crush them by hand), and bake until the chicken is 165 degrees.  Serve with creamy polenta, cous cous, wild rice, pasta. <--Just choose one, not all lol.  You can also steam cauliflower until falling apart, boil potatoes and combine, mash together like mashed potatoes with milk or cream, butter, salt and pepper and you have a veggie/starch all in one.  It also slightly disguises the veggies so your bf and sister won't know (hopefully).  It's one of my favorites.
