I'm with my parents visiting my grandparents and i have chicken pox, but not bad at all....actually really mild. My grandparents said they probably had the pox when they were kids...but my grandma woke up today with a ton of little red spots on her legs. She put some ointment on and it got worse..did I give her chicken pox? What is it?

  1. hmm it might be leg acne. I would recommend visiting the doctor

  2. elderly people normally get shingles from the pox so if i was your nanna i would go to the docs! and if you have chicken pox and it is only mild you most likely get them again!

  3. Chickenpox is contagious 1 to 2 days before the rash appears. It continues to be contagious until all of the blisters have crusted over, which usually takes 4 to 5 days. If there are no complications, adults have the chickenpox infection for 3 to 7 days.

Symptoms usually appear 10 to 21 days after exposure to the virus. The symptoms include:

small blisters on the skin, which later break open, form a crust (scab), and begin to itch

    tiredness

    fever

    aches and pains.
